Cocktail bar The Perch registers at The Meating Room's Station Road address

The Perch, which already has a venue in Berkhamsted, is listed on the food hygiene register at 5 Station Road as awaiting inspection, which points to a new registration. The Meating Room was last on the register on 6 September, rated 3, and has since been removed, though its own website still lists the Harpenden branch as open. The Perch's website gives Harpenden hours of noon to midnight Sunday to Thursday and 1pm to 1am on Friday and Saturday, closed Mondays. Those hours would make it one of the later venues on that stretch, so the question is whether a late licence follows, and what the Meating Room says about its future there. READ →
